Nordic Winner Show 2011

December 11, 2011 Stockholm, Sweden - The Saluki Ring
Exciting results in the Saluki ring for our beautiful Yaffa. Best Opposite Sex with a saluki entry of 48 with 27 bitches. CACIB winner, Crufts Qualified (again), Swedish Champion, Nordic Champion and Nordic winner 2011. Yaffa finished up the year as the number one Saluki in Norway. Congratulations to Yaffa and her young and very capable handler Anna Storesund.

Nordic Winner Show 2011

December 11, 2011 - The Afghan Hound Ring
Elsto Khariz Amazing Amanda finishes the year with amazing results. For 2011 she is again the Number One Afghan Hound in Norway.
At the Nordic Winner Show she wins Best Opposite Sex, qualifies for Crufts again, wins another CACIB and is the Nordic Winner 2011. Congratulations to her owners, Tove and Kjell Kristiansen and to Patrick Oware who has handled Amanda to her wins.

Tash in North Carolina

November 26, 2011 - Elsto Atash-Khariz makes a qualifying run at the Lure Coursing Trial in Reidsville, NC. He is now eligible to compete for his Lure Coursing championship.

December 11, 2011 - Tash wins his first points towards his Grand Championship. Congratulations Tash.

November 20, 2011 - Concord, NC
Elsto Khariz Dixieland Blues adds another win to her title pursuit. She now needs 4 points to finish. Judge this weekend in Concord was Anthony DiNardo and Cassie was awarded Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best Opposite Sex.

October 15, 2011 - Elsto Atash-Khariz finishes his American Championship in grand style at Hanover KC in Wilmington, NC. Thanks to judge Dierdre Petrie for awarding our young man a 4 point major, Best of Winners and Best of Breed. This makes champion number 4 out of the Silmarillon/Yaffa breeding.

Coursing Titles

October 1 and 2, 2011 - It was a cold and windy weekend but a successful one for the dogs.
Elsto Atash-Khariz completes his Junior Courser requirements and now has the JC title after his name.
Elsto Khariz Dixieland Blues also shows she can run by completing her Junior Courser title requirements as well.
The course was difficult and hilly so it was a good job done by both.

Elsto Atash-Khariz (Tash) - is Winners Dog, Best of Winners, Best of Breed, Best Bred By Exhibitor and 3 in the Bred by Exhibitor group. Thanks to the judges for recognizing our dogs. Tash needs one major to finish his championship.

Saluki Specialty - Lier Norway

August 20, 2011 - We are very excited to announce that Am Norw Dan Ch. Omen Yaffa to Elsto-Khariz JC was the choice of Mr. Juan Carlos Vasconsellos for Best Opposite Sex at the Norwegian Saluki Specialty for 2011. Yaffa has made very few ring appearances this year and we are grateful for the recognition she has received.

Mr. Vasconsellos also awarded Yaffa's kids, Elsto Atif-Khariz and Elsto Afareen-Khariz, the dog and bitch CC making them both new Norwegian Champions. Since Afareen won the CC in Sweden last week, she has also earned her Swedish title.

Congratulations to all and thank you to Mr. Vasconsellos for honoring our dogs with these wins.

August 14, 2011 - Elsto Afareen-Khariz takes a little trip to Sweden and takes the CC and the CACIB under judge Ricky Lochs Romans from Holland. Thank you for recognizing the qualities of this young lady. Her mother, Yaffa, was 4th best bitch. Congratulations to Yaffa's future "husband", Ch. Dabka's Italy, on his Best of Breed win today.

August 13, 2011 - Elsto Atash-Khariz adds two more points to his total by going Winners Dog and Best of Winners at the Carolina Kennel Club in Greensboro, NC. The judge was Mrs. Roberta Campbell.

Saturday 8.6.11: Clean Sweep in Afghans. Both Best of Breed and Best Opposite Sex. Amanda was Best of Breed and Alladin Best Opposite. Judge was Stelios Markaritos from Greece. Patrick Oware handled Amanda to this win and Paul Wilson, Alladin's owner handled Alladin. Great job!

July 30, 2011 - What a great day in Sweden.
Yaffa - Omen Yaffa to Elsto Khariz - adds a CACIB win to her collection and now needs just one more CACIB in another country to complete her International championship.
Ginny - Thirte-en Days a Week for Elsto - wins it all with CC, CACIB, Best of Breed and Group 4! Adding Swedish champion to her name in the bargain!
Ginny's brother Theo shows it runs in the family by winning Best of Breed during the weekend also.

May 15, 2011 - Cody Flowers brings her lovely Elsto Khariz Dandelion Wine up from Georgia and is Winners Bitch, Best Opposite Sex over a champion. Congratulations! This brings Dandi to 10 points. She will be hunting for her majors. Her sister, Elsto Khariz Dixieland Blues was Reserve Winners Bitch and Best Bred By Exhibitor Afghan.

May 7, 2011: Saluki Elsto Ata Alanna-Khariz wins the CC, the CACIB and is Best of Breed. She then goes on to win Hound Group 2 in a very strong group. Anna Storesund is Best Junior Handler and Elsto Khariz Amazing Amanda wins the Afghan Best of Breed. Also in the Afghan ring, the very handsome Elsto Khariz Magic Alladin finishes his Norwegian championship today.
